Ingredients

1 spiral ham
1/2 cup Riesling wine (or any sweet white wine)
3 whole sprigs fresh thyme
2 tbsp. shallots, finely diced
1 medium jar peach preserves
1 tbsp. light brown sugar
1 tbsp. stone ground mustard
This peach-glazed spiral ham is simple, flavorful, and perfect for a holiday table or weekend gathering.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven and prepare a roasting pan with elevated rack.
2.In a medium saucepan, bring Riesling, thyme and shallot to a simmer until the mixture starts to reduce.
3.Remove thyme sprigs and stir in peach preserves, brown sugar, and stone ground mustard, continue to heat for an additional few minutes. Sauce should be liquid, but still lumpy and sticky.
4.Remove from heat. Brush peach glaze over ham, making sure to get into all of the spirals and nooks.
5.Place ham in oven and bake, basting with peach glaze every half hour until ham is warm throughout.
6.When top starts to brown and crust, loosely place a piece of aluminum foil over top.
7. Check internal temperature with meat thermometer, remove and allow to rest before completing the carving and serving.
