I’m a huge fan of tahini, and not just in hummus! Tahini is very versatile and can even be used in sweet recipes—like this creamy chocolate tahini dip!
Tahini is rich in healthy fats, protein, and minerals like phosphorus, lecithin, magnesium, potassium and iron. Combine it with healthy raw cocao powder and maple syrup, and you have a tasty treat that you can feel good about!
I love dipping crispy, sweet apples into this chocolate tahini dip, but it’s also great drizzled over ice cream or oatmeal, spread over toast, or served with your other favorite fruits and crackers!
Makes about 1 cup of chocolate dip
Ingredients
½ cup Earth Fare Organic tahini
¼ cup water (can sub nut milk if preferred)
2 tablespoons maple syrup
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocao powder
Apples (for serving)
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix to combine (sift chocolate to avoid lumps). Serve with sliced apples. Store leftover dip in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Note: this chocolate tahini dip can also be drizzled over ice cream or oatmeal, spread over toast, or served with your other favorite fruits and crackers!
