We’re taking steps to eliminate toxins

At Earth Fare, we’re committed to helping your family decrease the number of toxins they encounter daily. That’s why we’re ahead of the buzz around Bisphenol A, or BPA. Used as a protective layer in metal cans, this chemical can leach into what we eat and then be absorbed into our bodies. So, we’ve taken the step to remove it from the packaging of all Earth Fare brand canned products, serving trays, and even our receipt paper. One more way Earth Fare helps you live a longer, healthier life.

Why It Matters

According to a 2016 study, BPA has been linked to serious health concerns, like obesity, infertility, and cancer.* When in the body, BPA mimics the hormone estrogen, disrupting normal hormones function and harming our reproductive system, metabolism, and brain development. In fact, in a 2004 study by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, traces of BPA were found in the urine of nearly all participants–some as young as six years old.*
