Potassium Metabisulfite

Potassium metabisulfite (PMBS or KMBS), also known as potassium pyrosulfite, is a white crystalline powder. It acts as a preservative in the form of an antioxidant, stabilizer, and even a bleaching agent in foods. It is commonly used in wine, beer and juice production. It is also a know skin irritant and should be handled with care and considered before adding it to you diet.
