THE BOOT LIST ITEM #67

Lead Soldered Cans were common years ago, and have since been banned by the FDA due to lead poisoning and other health risks. However, it is important to be aware of imported canned foods as they often still use a lead soldered lid. Always check the labels, stay informed about the product and companies you choose to purchase from. The FDA still allows 250 parts per billion of lead in food, and consider it safe. Choose lead free packaging when available.
