Inosine Monophosphate (IMP), also known as inosinic acid. This ingredient is widely used in the food industry as a flavor enhancer. Derivatives of IMP include the nucleotides found in nucleic acids and ATP which store chemical energy in muscle other tissues. IMP is commonly gathered from chicken by products or other animal meat waste, or lab created. For this purpose the origination of this ingredient is somewhat unknown and could be hazardous to your health. Studies show links to high levels of uric acid, kidney or bladder stones amongst health concerns.
