THE BOOT LIST ITEM #60
Hydrogenated Oil or Fat, also known as artificial trans fat, is created through a process that adds hydrogen to liquid vegetable oils. These oils and fats raise levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol and reduce levels of (good) cholesterol. Partially hydrogenated oils have been banned in the US, but still appear to be present in some foods. It is recommended to avoid this ingredient, and choose natural oils and fats when possible.
