THE BOOT LIST ITEM #59

High-fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), also known as glucose–fructose, isoglucose, and glucose–fructose syrup, is a sweetener made from corn starch. HFCS is traditionally used in processed foods and beverages. Approximately 55% is glucose while the remaining 45% is fructose. HFCS is high in calories, lacks essential nutrients, and could impact liver heath, weight gain, and metabolism. It may be wise to choose a more natural sweetener for your diet.
