THE BOOT LIST ITEM #47

Erythrosine, also known as Red No. 3, is an artificial color and additive used in a variety of foods. It is a synthetic dye derived from petroleum. Strangely enough, this ingredient has been banned in several countries, due to it’s lack of nutritional benefit and increased health risks. In the U.S. it is allowed in colored foods and ingested drugs, but banned in cosmetics. It is always suggested to consult with your doctor about your diet if you are unsure of health risks.
