Certified Colors are substances tested and certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in imparting color in food, drugs, and cosmetics. These additives, have serious potential health risks including allergies, hyperactivity (specifically Yellow No 5 and Red No. 40 in children). Artificial colors may be deemed safe, but consumption over time could lead to long term effects. Consult your doctor before consuming any artificial colors.
