Benzyl Alcohol is a chemical compound that is used in the manufacturing process of other benzyl compounds, including flavors and perfumes. In the food industry it acts as a flavor enhancer. Studies show benzyl alcohol could be toxic to the liver and central nervous system. Limit the amount of this compound in your diet, and avoid totally when possible.
