Benzoates in Food

Benzoates are a group of chemical compounds used as preservatives in various food products. Benzoates help prevent spoilage by slowing the growth of harmful bacteria, yeast, and mold. It’s widely used in processed foods, beverages to extend shelf life. Benzoates are found in food, cosmetics, and even some some medications. Studies show there are some risks surrounding allergies, ADHD, obesity and inflammation.
