THE BOOT LIST ITEM #12

Bacteriophage Preparation is a method which involves isolating, purifying, and amplifying bacteriophages for research or therapeutic purposes. These viruses infect and replicate within bacterial hosts. One method is PEG precipitation, where bacteriophages are concentrated using polyethylene glycol (PEG) and sodium chloride. This method is applied to things like ready to eat meats, dairy, fruit and vegetable processing, and even animal processing. Phages can interrupt the human immune system, the body’s microbiome. Studies show more research is needed to understand long term effects on the body.
