Second Harvest Food Bank Friend of Earth Fare Market & Cafe
Johnson City gets its first full service all natural and organic food store in just a few short weeks! Earth Fare Market and Café will open its Johnson City location on State of Franklin Road October 15th not far from the ETSU campus.
The Market and Café boasts the largest selection of natural, organic and gourmet foods including: farm fresh fruits and vegetables, a gourmet cheese shop with over 250 varieties of European and American Artisan cheeses, a full service meat and seafood department, on-site bakery and deli with ready-to-go meal options, a fully stocked grocery department, and a health and body care department featuring the highest quality supplements and personal care items.
“We are grateful for the warm welcome from the community and can’t wait to offer the Johnson City area the best in natural and organic food,” says Megan Smith, spokesperson for Earth Fare. “Come October, Johnson City will have a one-stop alternative to traditional supermarkets, gourmet food stores, and specialty shops.”
The Grand Opening of the Johnson City store is set for Wednesday, October 15 at 8 am. All month long customers will have a chance to sample many of the wonderful items offered at Earth Fare. Guests can look forward to raffles, samples, and giveaways.
Earth Fare markets are the premier chain of natural foods supermarkets in the US, having been the first supermarket to ban added trans-fats in 1993 and high fructose corn syrup in 2004. Their strict ingredient philosophy has earned them a loyal following as they continue to grow throughout the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia and the southeastern United States. Friend of Earth Fare Local Non-Profit for the month of December
Second Harvest Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank was our Friend of Earth Fare for the month of October. Our Friend of Earth Fare is our local non profit for the month and we raise money for these organizations.
The Second Harvest Food Bank gathered all there people to work different shifts, to collect canned goods, help with the Burger for a Buck and just spread the word on how many different organizations locally they provide for.
October ended up being very plentiful with food and Earth Fare raised $10,000.00 for Second Harvest Food Bank. As always, we at Earth Fare are so proud to be a part of such a wonderful organization. Thank you Second Harvest Food Bank!
