09/01/06

August 12th, Earth
Fare on Pelham Road revealed a TEN FOOT cookie! That’s right,
ten feet of ooey gooey chocolate chip goodness was baked right outside
of the store by Immaculate Baking Company in efforts to raise money for Camp
Opportunity of Greenville. The entire cookie was sold in portions. By the end of the day, Camp Opportunity had raised over 500 dollars!

The giant, all natural cookie was created by Immaculate Baking Company to
promote the education and awareness of children’s organizations throughout
the country. Immaculate holds the record for the largest cookie baked ever -
a whopping 100 feet! Local kid volunteers helped
cut and serve the large confectionary treat to everyone.

The gigantic cookie was made with over 95 pounds of chocolate chips, 375
eggs, and 165 pounds of flour and was baked in a huge transportable oven
designed by the cookie company and appropriately nicknamed “the
Immacu-Bake.” Actual baking time of the cookie was approximately three
hours.
