Come out and join us for a Glencairn Garden Membership Drive and Souviner Sale at Earth Fare. We will also have “Home Made” with Peggy Barber & Joann Flippins, who will be demonstrating how to make vinegar and herb seasoning bottles and seasoning salt all with fresh garden ingredients and also ways to use them in a gift basket.

Join us for entertainment starting at 5:30p until 7:30p by Alan Barrington and meet some of the Park, Recreation and Tourism’s artists who are teaching various classes this fall, as well as showing some of their work along the walls of the café at Earth Fare. We will also have some unique gifts out such as art, pottery, wine bottle cheese trays, glass bottle spoon holders, Merry Prankster Cookbooks, t-shirts, coffee mugs, visors, Glencairn Garden note card sets, postcards and memberships.

Come out and join us for a day full of helping raise awareness for Autism and benefiting the Dalton Help Foundation. The Dalton Help Foundation will receive 5% of sales on September 13th as well as other money raised during the day which will benefit two families who have an autistic child in the local community, the Pernell family and the Brice family. Beginning at 10 a.m. we will have one of the two gluten free cooking classes that will be offered during the day. The second cooking class will begin at 2 p.m followed by a Supplement/Enzyme lecture at 3 p.m. We will kick off our famous “Burger for a Buck” event with hot, delicious burgers for only $1 from 11:30 a.m. until the burgers are gone! For a full plate, including chips and a drink the cost will be $3. Along with the cooking classes and Burger for a Buck there will also be gluten free demos all throughout the store to make sure everyone can have tasty samples. A bake sale with wonderful gluten free cookies will also be available. An Autism information booth will be available with information for anyone interested, as well as an opportunity to register for the Walk Now for Autism walk that will be held at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on October 4, 2008. We will also have different activities such as making gluten free play dough, a visit from one of the Rock Hill Fire Department stations with one of their fire engines, and Champions Gymnastics Training Center of Rock Hill will also be here interacting with the kids. Steve Simpson will be providing the entertainment along with Tracy Parham with pottery hand building demonstrations. Glencairn Garden Membership Drive with “Touch a Truck” where kids are invited to check out the Parks, Recreation and Tourism vehicles up close and personal. See an electric cart, an electric scissor lift, an infield drag machine and more! There will also be “Home Made” with Peggy Barber and Joann Flippins with a sewing demonstration to help everyone get ready to warm up with fall quilts and stadium blankets, as well as a new apron for baking season.

Come out and join us for a jammed packed day of fun activities for all ages starting at 10a, such as scavenger hunts, butterfly crafts, geocaching, art shows, story time, sports obstacle course, soccer goal kick, disc golf, and oh so much more! We will also big our pig roast at 11:30a and will keep going until the pig is gone! Plates will be $5 for pork, a side and a drink! There will also be live entertainment starting at 10:30a!
