In Honor of Independence Day, Earth Fare will be closing early so employees can celebrate the holiday with their families and enjoy the fireworks. The store will open at 8:00 am and will close at 6:00 pm. We will return to our regular hours on Sunday, July 5th. Party safe, eat some great food, and enjoy the 4th of July!

Emergency Preparedness Seminar

On Wednesday, July 8th, David Chojnacki will be at Earth Fare instructing a free seminar about emergency safety and how to be prepared in case of an emergency. Some topics that will be covered in the seminar include: 72 hour saftey kits, emergency water filters, emergency radios, and a demonstration on the “Amber Stick”. David, who is a volunteer for Community Emergency Responce Team (C.E.R.T.), will also show you how to design an emergency plan for you and your family in case of an emergency. This class is free of charge but please sign up in our “Events” binder located at the front of the store.

Learn How To Make Homemade Jams from Summer Berries

Ever wish you could enjoy the fresh taste of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and peaches even when they are not in season? Now you can! Join us as we show you how to turn summer berries into the perfect jam. In this class, we will show you how to prepare the berries, what kind of jar is best to store the jams in, and how to give them away as the perfect gift during the fall time! Jams are ideal for spreading on a baguette, a great topper for fruit pizzas, and are a true match with peanut butter. Summer berries can now be enjoyed anytime during the year! Locks of Love for Zig and Childrens Chance

Earth Fare has partnered with Children's Chance and Women's H2 salon, spa, and fitness center to host an event for “Locks of Love”. On Saturday, July 18th, come to Earth Fare and have your locks cut off by stylists from Womens H2 for a donation of $5.00. In order to donate hair to Locks of Love, you must be able to cut off at least 10 inches. Don't have long hair? That's okay! Stylists from H2 will also be offering bang trims and regular trims for $5.00, as well. 100% of all proceeds from the hair cuts will go directly to Childrens Chance, who is the Friend of Earth Fare for the month of July. Each person who either donates at least 10 inches of hair to Locks of Love or who gets a regular trim will automatically be entered to win a very large gift package from H2 Salon, Spa, and Fitness Center! So, stop by the store and have a little bit of hair trimmed off-what a great way to stay cool in this summer heat! Zig the Pig is the lovable, zebra striped mascot for Children's Chance, a non-profit organization that helps kids with cancer in South Carolina and their families. "Found Art" Craft Night

On Saturday, July 18th, Bobby Barker will be at Earth Fare instructing an art class from 6-8 pm. In this class, you will learn how to make beautiful art out of items that have been either found and/or recycled. Bobby will help you find what your passion is to help you focus on getting the most out of this creative experience. You will get to make a sacred object for yourself or a loved one. At the end of the class, each creation will be photographed and Bobby will be able to answer any questions that you may have. This class encourages creative freedom. This art class is free of charge but please sign up in the “events” binder located at the front of the store. All supplies will be provided for this class.

Homemade Stuffed Ravioli Class

Join us as we show how to make homemade stuffed ravioli’s from scratch! Learn how to make the dough, how to stuff them with your favorite filling, and pair with the perfect sauce! This class is free of charge but please sign up in the “Events” binder located at the front of the store.

Zig Zundaes

Childrens Chance, who is the Friend of Earth Fare for the month of July, will have volunteers at Earth Fare on Friday, July 24th selling giant ice cream “Zundaes”! Each Zundae will cost $4.00 with 100% of all proceeds going directly to Childrens Chance. Zig the Pig is the mascot for Children's Chance and an advocate for children with cancer. Children’s Chance raises money to fund a variety of programs to meet the financial, emotional, and psychological needs of the pediatric cancer patient and their families. So come and cool off with a tastey treat and help Childrens Chance!

Earth Fare's Tomato Festival

Limestone College-Campus Day at Earth Fare

Thinking about going to college but don't know where to look or who to contact? On Friday, August 14th, Limestone College will be hosting a “Columbia Campus Day” at Earth Fare and will be on site to answer any questions that you may have regarding everyday college issues. Limestone offers great flexible schedules with evening classes and classes that start every month. Each class is designed for one on one instructor/student interaction and offers online courses, as well. At Limestone, federal and state grants and loans are available for those who qualify. Additional topics that will be discussed include: transfer credits, credit for prior learning, and how Limestone specifically focuses on individualized study with adult oriented faculty.
