Earth Fare Athens opened its doors in October of 1999 in the heart of Athens, Georgia in Five Points. Since its opening, Earth Fare has been committed to bringing delicious specialty, gourmet and health foods to the University of Georgia (UGA) Campus and the Athens community in a friendly environment. As a full-service grocery store, Earth Fare has a produce, grocery, and meat and seafood department, as well as a deli with a cafe and bakery. There is also a large Health and Body Care department with supplements, vitamins, and all-natural body care products.

Earth Fare Athens hosts free seminars led by local health practitioners, and has a culinary program that features free cooking classes and demonstrations. Earth Fare Athens offers 5% discount days for UGA Staff and Students as well as Senior Citizens on Mondays and Wednesdays.
