Healthy Pregnancy

Pregnancy
6-12 months

Now that your “oven” officially has a “bun” in it, what’s the next step to making sure that that “bun” pops out healthy? Well, for starters never refer to your baby as a bun. It’s a person, not a dinner roll. After that, there’s a whole host of ways an expectant mother and father can transform nine months of pregnancy into a lifetime of healthy eating!

Pregnancy Health Tips

  1. Take a natural, prenatal vitamin every day. These aren’t like the delicious Flintstone Vitamins that you took as a kid, but they are vital to giving your baby the proper nutrients.
  2. Be sure to drink plenty of water. Remember, you’re hydrating for two.
  3. Eat smart by skipping anything with trans fats. Omega-3 fatty acids help with a baby’s brain development.
  4. Drink herbal teas to help with morning sickness.
  5. Provide positive auditory stimulants for your baby like music (avoid heavy metal though – unless you want a rocker baby like Ozzy).
