Job Description

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service. 
Learn preparation of specialty merchandise e.g., sausage, ready to cook products, and cured meats. 
Follow established Weights and Measures procedures (TARES). 
Maintain overall appearance of and replenish ice in display case. 
Utilize proper rotation in case.
Set and maintain poultry case and display. 
Package, weigh, and price merchandise.
Explain to customer how EF products are different from conventional. 
Comply with all applicable Health and Safety Codes. 
Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of meat cuts and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated ability in knife handling, other cutting equipment and safety procedures.
Skilled in cutting whole chicken into standard parts; and simple cuts for other meats.
Ability to work well with others. 
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
Minimum of 6 months experience before learning advanced cutting.
Desire to learn to cut meat into sub primals.
Ability to operate bailer (must be 18 years old).
Knowledge of living conditions of animals and ability to educate the public on these issues.
Ability to merchandise and display products.
Uphold standard of cleanliness.
Ability to explain various cooking techniques.
