Tinkerbelle's Turnaround

When my fiancé' and I first got our English Bulldog, “Tinkerbelle"; yes that is her name, we had no idea what to expect.

She was a bundle of joy fat and plump and full of love. She snored like Old Man Rivers; you could hear her from a mile away. In addition to her snoring, she had gas, so bad we gave Tinkerbelle her own fart chair. It was quite comical, and at the same time horrendous.

After a few weeks of feeding her some name brand puppy chow we realized that she was losing a lot of fur, and when I say a lot of fur I mean handfuls at a time.

We took her to the vet in a panic and after all the tests, even the vet was stumped at the time. However, he recommended we change her food as it was probably an allergy to a product in the food.

He stated that one of the best places to get food was at Earth Fare. He elaborated that it was at a good price for the product and that it would naturally be better for her. We gave it a shot and bam she’s not losing her fur and overall seems in better health.

This adventure brought to my attention what I myself was ingesting as well as my family. This brought me to the organic side.

Since then I have learned a lot from Tinkerbelle and her issues. When they say a dog is a man’s best friend I believe they are right. She might have saved my life.
