Jasper, the Happy (and healthy) Cat

This story is about my cat Jasper. We adopted him last year and he was very small and skinny. By that moment, the little one already went through very tough difficult times. A few-weeks-old kitty had been found wounded by a hawk, anemic and starving nearly to death.

Jasper’s fur had to be shaved because he needed several stitches. We decided to feed him with the same food he was eating at the animal shelter since the day he was rescued. Made by a famous brand and could be found in every grocery store – nice looking kitten dry food with tempting promises on its pack to nourish our pet better then anyone else possibly could. Jasper had great appetite. He started to grow; his silhouette did not look as skinny as bicycle anymore. Everything seemed to be just fine. Until, in a few weeks, we all noticed one thing. Jasper was not as happy as we wanted him to be.

He was meowing nervously, especially before using his litter box. He did not let anyone touch his stomach and started to fight every time when someone tried to pick him up. Our baby had tummy ache! The worst thing was – he had gas. I never knew that such little animal could break wind so much and so often. I immediately started to search for the information about cat’s possible health problems and their solutions. Many sources showed that the cause of Jasper’s problems could be the food he eats. I started to search again; and now, for the best cat food that doesn’t contain components that could cause my cat’s stomach problems: any meat by-products, wheat, artificial preservatives or flavors.

The food I chose has only natural organic ingredients with vitamins and minerals. Jasper loved his new food. In a few weeks his health problems ended, the gas issues stopped and stomach pain never returned.

In several months, Jasper became a big, happy, playful and very smart cat with beautiful fur. He weights now over 12 pounds and he even uses a toilet instead of a litter box. He feels great and he makes us to feel great. In our area, the ONLY store that sells healthy cat foods was Earth Fare. I never had an urge to visit it before. However, while shopping for my pet in the Earth Fare store, I discovered more and more products for me and my family members. Now, we are regular customers of Earth Fare. This is an interesting chain – our pet became healthy by eating healthy and made our family to eat healthier.
